Wow. That’s a lot of surprising info here thanks!

Yeah! Curious to hear what you found was most surprising

Mainly that there are only very few running brands "top of mind". Especially in "apparel" I would have expected some of the newer fashion-orientated running brands to pop up. Also the "Races and events" list is hillarious! From mega mass events to quirky ultramarathons with only a few hundred starters.

one thing I really like it’s the tracking philosophy

not just the content, but the backend infrastructure. The Why behind AI suggesting.

so that your sites are more likely to be recommended by ChatGPT, Claude, Google Deep Search etc, rather than being blocked by outdated web protocol

Very interesting, thanks for diving into this. I'll be especially interested to see how this changes over time and with different / more advanced models.

Also, seems like the next obvious opportunity is educating brands on how to break through (though I'm sure you're already all over this). Seems like the present-day version of SEO.

oh absolutely. i'm working on that next part for sure!! weaving it into my work with the network too.

and if any brand is reading this and wants some consulting support to help execute... i'm here for ya!

I'd be curious how these all compare to market share data as well... any wild outliers?

thanks for checking it out! had a lot of fun diving into all of this and am excited to keep the conversation going. i'll be eager to hear your take on the follow up more tactical piece on how PR can help!

It would be interesting to see this through the lens of gender. Sports bras was a compelling peek but I’d be curious who shows up when you add “for women.”

that is a fantastic idea. we will absolutely do that and i'll let you know. thank you!!
